We’ve interviewed SuperWellness associate Laura Griggs to find out about her journey from law and child care to Corporate Nutrition.

Could you tell us a little bit about your background before becoming a nutrition professional?

I have a masters in international law, and an AAT diploma. I’ve had food shops as a family business, and even a nursery on domestic premises while raising my kids

How did you come to be interested in nutrition and go on to study for your qualification?

My own health led me to where I am today. I have an autoimmune condition since 19 years old. Over the years it was getting worse so I had to take care of myself as there is no cure for it the conventional way.

What do you love most about your job now?

That I am able to help other people, most of them with the lost hope to get better. It is so rewarding!

What is your favorite film (or films)?

Moulin rouge, Games of Thrones, The age of Adelaide

What dish would you serve at a dinner party?

It depends on the number of people I am having over and on the season. I am a good cook so it’s always something interesting

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Australia, but would love to retire to Italy

What’s your most frequently used phrase or expression?

“You know”… But obviously most of the time they don’t know

How would your loved ones and friends sum you up in 3 words?

They love me so would say anything nice

Are you reading a book at the moment? If so which?

Nutrient power, I don’t allow myself to read anything that isn’t nutrition related unless I am on holiday

What’s your favourite smell?

Christmas smell: oranges, cloves, cinnamon

My family
